TALK: Jacob Holdt

When he was young, Jacob Holdt hitchhiked the American highways, photographing everything from the black urban slum to the Ku Klux Klan community. Holdt’s book and photographic journey through the Black American underclass, “American Pictures”, ended up making him famous also outside of Denmark.

Holdt tells the story of his “American Pictures” in a vivid and entertaining manner, and it is with great honour that we welcome him to the Academy on the 5th of May.

The event is free and will be held in English.
