CONCERT WITH UNGKLANG: Join us for an autumn evening of song as UngKlang visits Rome. The concert blends traditional Danish songs with newer, modern arrangements written and arranged by the ensemble's own singers. As part of their preparation for their concert in DR Koncertsalen on 8 March 2027, seven of UngKlang's singers are traveling to Rome to rehearse, hold workshops, and experiment with new sounds. The concert will therefore also include brand-new movements as a preview of UngKlang's 2027 repertoire.
About UngKlang: UngKlang is a vocal ensemble of nine young women (seven of whom will perform at this concert) who share a background in the DR Girls Choir. Since 2020, the ensemble has used its classically trained voices to challenge and expand the expectations and understandings usually attached to the work of a vocal ensemble. UngKlang's artistic range and courage to challenge tradition are among the main reasons they succeed in making choral music resonate with a younger audience than usual. UngKlang grew out of a long-standing friendship, for some even lifelong, which has been the ensemble's natural focal point since the beginning.
Performers: Martha Bach Gislinge, Ida Marie Bjerg-Raft, Maja Wiberg, Johanne Munch, Esmeralda Holmberg, Sara Enevold Hansen, Marie Wendt Ketting
The concert is free and last approximately 1 hour.
