10 May - 23 November 2025.
Venice Architecture Biennale, Italy

Under the heading Build of Sitethe Danish contribution to the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2025 explores how the reuse of existing materials can be construction and resources can solve some of the most pressing challenges in architectureand.

This year's Danish contribution to the Architecture Biennale is created by architect Søren Pihlmann, based on the overall theme of the Biennale, Intelligence. Natural. Artificial. Collective, explores how we can find new value in the buildings and materials that already exist.

The exhibition focuses on the maintenance of the Danish Pavilion by utilising the resources and materials already in the building. It also experiments with new ways of recycling surplus building materials, and the exhibition is a technical and aesthetic communication of the ongoing process - a work in progress. The audience gets a rare insight into an architectural practice where the design is based on what already exists on site.

Tickets for the Venice Architecture Biennale cost 35 Euro and are valid for 3 days.
